Minutes - September 7, 2011

The meeting was opened by President Ken Simmons at 1930.

Approval of the August 3, 2011 club minutes as e-mailed to the members was motioned by Dave C. and 2nd by Jerry H. Sr. The motion carried.

Treasurer's Report: Bob A. was absent but Ken S. reported for him. Expenses were $57 with a balance of $2603.50 in our account. A motion to accept the Treasurer's Report was made by Dave C. and 2nd by Jerry J. The motion carried.

Old Business:

1. Committee Report:
   1. Safety - Jerry H. Jr. - No recordable events except a comment for members to observe to NO TAXI zone on the taxi way.
   2. Lawn Care - Dave C. - Dave said that the lawn is cut about every ten days. Other wise the lawn is green and the water system is working well. Jeff D. said we need to purchase a weed eater to keep the weeds under control. A motion was made by Jerry H. Sr and 2nd by Dave C. to authorize Jeff D. and Dave C. to purchase an appropriate weed eater and support supplies not to exceed $150. The motion carried.
2. August 20th Combat Meet at Shelley, ID. Report: Jerry H.Jr., Bob A. and Todd H. competed. Results: Jerry H. Jr. 2nd place in scale.
3. August 27th Fun Fly was postponed to coinside with the Open House/Swap Meet on September 24.

1. September 10th - Combat Meet at our field. Register at 9, start at 10. It should be exciting as usual. We need help to run it. We need scorers for each pilot, safety line judges and score registors. Please come to enjoy and help. Director Ken S.
2. September 24th - Open House/Swap Meet/Fun Fly. Come, participate and enjoy. Winner plaques will be awarded. Bring visitors and things to swap. Director Jerry H. Jr.
3. October 8th - Cross Country Meet - More details at the October club meeting.
4. New Officers nominations. Jerry J. reminded us to think about who to nominate for President, V.P., Treasurer, and Secretary. All the past officers have done a good job. It's time though to spread out the glory and get others involved. Think about who to nominate and come to the October meeting with names in mind. The elections will be held at the November meeting with installation at the December Christmas meeting and party. The Christmas party will be held at the Sizzlers at 6PM, featuring new Officers installation and a his and hers gift exchange of a maximum $15 for each gift. Ken S. is making the Sizzlers reservations.
5. Next meeting will be on October 5 in Fruitland.
