Minutes - June 2, 2010

The meeting was opened by Vice-President David Castleberry at 1930.
Approval of the May 5, 2010 minutes as e-mailed to the membership was motioned by Lynn H. and 2nd by Dale C. The motion carried.

Treasurer's Report - As read by David C. - May's meeting bank account $2422.58.

A motion was made by Scott P. and 2nd by Danny K. to accept the Treasurer's Report as read. The motion carried.

New Member Rodney Sumner was offered a warm welcome.

Old Business:
  1. Committee Report:
    1. Safety - Jerry H. Jr. - No incidents reported.
    2. Lawn Care - David C. - Jerry J. and David have repaired the lawn watering system. The lawn mower tranny has also been repaired.
    3. Gopher Control - Bob M. - Earl D. and David C. have worked on poisoning the little buggers in Bob's absence. Bob's back now and he will get back on it.
  2. Flight Simulator Status: Daniel M. and Oregon Trail Hobbies.
  3. Combat Meet, May 8 - Jerry H. Jr. - The meet was successful. There were eight flyers, two classes.

  4. Sprinkler Day - May 15 - David C. - Due to a lack of sufficient help it has been rescheduled for June 19 start 9AM. Hopefully enough will show up to do it. Bring planes to fly afterward.
  5. F. Parma Jet Rally at their field on June 11,12 and 13. A great rally to see. Scale jets, real turbine engines, 200-300 mph. R/C's from $5,000 to $20,000 flying. A must see.
  6. Pylon Races - May 29 - Jerry H. Jr. - Because of the high wind, the micro's didn't fly. It was good enough though for the other two classes. They raced two at a time with double elimination. Results as follows:

New Business:
  1. Instruction on use of the petty cash box was given by David C. For each purchase or deposit make sure the ledger in the box is noted and the balance totaled. The invoice for the purchase must be left in the box.
  2. Road Work - David C. said there are some low spots to be filled in. We still have money in the orginal authorization to us to get it done. David will order it when needed.
  3. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Bob M. and 2nd by Chuck S. the motion carried.
