Minutes - July 7, 2010

The meeting was opened by President Ken Simmons at 1930.
Approval of the June 2, 2010 minutes as e-mailed to the membership was motioned by Dale C. and 2nd by David C. David C. mentioned that in the Treasurer's Report the mower purchase $800 should be changed to mower sale $800. The correction was noted and the minutes changed. The motion carried as corrected.

Treasurer's Report - Bob Armstrong - Expenses $99.95, sprinkler head parts. June bank account balance $2686.61. A motion was made by David C. and 2nd by Ken S. to accept the Treasurer's Report. The motion carried.

Old Business:

1. Committee Report:
   1. Safety - Jerry H. Jr. - No incidents reported.
   2. Lawn Care - David C. -
      1. A lot of work has been accomplished. The lawns look great.
      2. Sprinkler maintenance day, June 19. Seven members were involved repairing and adjusting the sprinklers for the summer. Spot weed spraying was also done. Flying was enjoyed after. Members present to work, Jerry J., Jerry H.Jr., Jerry H.Sr., David C., Cliff M., Jim S., Earl D. If I missed any one, sorry.
   3. 3. Gopher Control - Bob M. - David C. and Jerry J. reported that pest control poison has been placed in many holes. Discussion was held regarding the active use of the grass runway. The discussion ended with no action or change to be taken. David C. mentioned that the gear driven sprinklers have a six year warrantee. A date is printed on them. Do not throw away old ones without checking with David.
2. Flight Simulator - Daniel M. and Orgon Trail Hobbies.
3. Family Fun Day, June 26 - Cancelled due to Richard P. illness.
4. Blackfoot Combat Meet - Two members attended, Jerry H.Jr. 2nd scale, Bob A. 3rd open. On the last round both Jerry and Bob, with streamers flying from their wings and tail dove to grass level leading all the others on a merry chase.

1. Cross Country Fly - July 24 - Dale C. Dale said the following:
   1. Entry fee $10.
   2. Breakfast will be served - cross country drivers eat free.
   3. Plaques for first three places will be awarded.
   4. Start time 8AM.
   5. Drivers and helpers needed.
2. Northwest Electric Fly-In. August 14-15, Spokane, WA.
3. Fun Fly, August 7 - Jerry H.Jr, Scott P. and Randy C. Also the micro-elect. pylon races missed will be flown if the wind is down. Places will be awarded.
4. Combat Meet - September 4th (change from the 11th) - Ken S., Open-B and scale.
5. The Ontario Air Faire is on again this year. Saturday, September 11. Ken S. will check to see if they want us to fly an exhibition combat demo. again. We will have a booth to display planes and explain our club.
6. Other new business - Clint McLaughlin has stabilized after his operation and is recovering in Meridian.
7. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Jerry H.Jr and 2nd by Chuck S. The motion carried
