Minutes - August 5, 2010

The meeting was opened by President Ken Simmons at 1930.
Approval of the July 7, 2010 minutes as e-mailed to the membership was motioned by Dale C. and 2nd by Randy C. The motion carried.

Treasurer's Report - Bob A. - Bob reported the following expenditures: $33 for trophies, $27 for event food, $7.25 sprinkler parts, $40 to petty cash box. Bank balance $2613.61. A motion was made by David C. and 2nd by Randy C. to accept the Treasurer's Report. The motion carried.

Old Business:

1. Committee Report:
   1. Safety - Jerry H. Jr. - No incidents reported.
   2. Lawn Care - David C. Lawn mower bearing went out. Calvin C. had to make a tool to remove the old bearing. Bearing cost $35. Some sprinklers need to be repaired. They are marked by flags and brown grass. Work needs to be done. Contact David C. if interested in helping in the repair.
   3. Gopher Control - David C. said that Earl D. and Jerry J. are keeping them running.
2. Flight Simulator - Both are at the hobby store.
3. Pocatello Combat Meet Report - Ken S., Jerry H.Jr., and Bob A. went and had a great time. Ken S. placed 3rd in open class. It was very competative.
4. Cross Country Fly-In Report - Dale C. - Breakfast was served by Lenny Able. The course was about 5 miles with a limbo and spot landing at the end. Bob A. came in on a wing and a prayer dead stick and made it. He finished 4th. Atta boy Bob. We had several visitors, one from Emmett and one from Nampa. 1st place, Ken S., 2nd place, Lynn H.,4th place, Bob A.

1. Fun Fly - August 7 - Pilot registration 0800, Pilot briefing 0830, Start 0900. - Jerry H.Jr., Scott P., Randy C. Together with the Fun Fly will be the postponed micro pylon race that was cancelled last month due to weather. We will need lots of help to be judges, helpers, scorers etc. Ye all come, hear, flying or not.
2. Combat Meet at Shelly, August 14. Jerry H.Jr. and Bob A. are going so far.
3. Combat Meet here, September 4
4. Air Faire, Ontario A/P, September 11. SRVM Club will have a club booth display. Ken S. is going to check to see if a combat demo is desired like last year.
5. Open House here, September 25
6. SRVM Club Float Fly - Saturday, October 9, Emmett Pond
7. Next meeting, September 1, at the field.
